Welcome to Looking Glass Girl

I started my shop when I was a stay-at-home mom back in 2007 and had a little time to sort through my digital images. I've loved photography since my point and snap polaroid in the 1980's. I took photography in high school and took two amazing photograhy classes in the late 1990's through UC Berkeley Extension where I learned to develop my own film and process prints in the darkroom. I loved the assignments which pushed my comfort zone exploring micro, macro, angles, black and white, and photographing peoople- one of my favorite nights was shooting black & white at the Castro Street Halloween Fair in SF.

2007 was the first opportunity where I could select images that were meaningful to me but I felt they could also be understood and appreciated by others. Rather than fees associated with photo printing I decided I wanted to offer my photos as digital products for immediate access. Thus, Looking Glass Girl was established.

My son is now 19 and no longer lives at home...and I once again find myself having a little time to dedicate to my photography. I am excited to update my shop and share digital photos, products with my photography in addition to my little bit o' fun called "Finders Keepers" which includes finds from treasure hunting at thrift and antique stores in the Bay Area.
